Corn Chowder (May 10)
Our chowder recipes are a meal in themselves. They are perfect for those cold winter days and nights. We sell all our
soups in 10oz or 1 litre sizes, so why cook? We like to serve this chowder with a freshly baked whole wheat semolina roll.
As always, the outcome of your soup or any recipe depends on the freshness of your ingredients. We shop the market every
morning!
4-6 ears corn on the cob
2 tbsp butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 leek sliced or 1 green pepper diced
2 potatoes diced
3 cups vegetable broth
3 cups milk
s & p to taste
1/2 cup cream
chopped parsley (garnish)
