Round 27 - Sept. 9, 2000 - Upper Canada Golf Course
What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I went to Morrisburg, the home of the Upper Canada for our 7th wedding anniversary. My wife, not being a golfer, chose to wander around town
and the Upper Canada Village while I tested the gorgeous track. The course has blue, red and yellow tees the red being the whites on most courses. Its rated 71.8 off the blues and 64.4
off the reds with respective slopes of 121 and 118.
I was paired with a husband and wife team from Ottawa, Norm and Karen. Norm is about an 8 handicap and showed it on the front shooting a 41. Karen has a great swing but doesn't
track her handicap. She played well until the middle of the front where she started to have trouble. I had an average front shooting a 45 while taking 20 putts. So, I was quite optimistic
about the back. I wouldn't be disappointed. I had 4 pars on the back and took only 13 putts to come in with a 43 for a total of 88! Norm and Karen weren't as lucky having their share
of trouble on the back. My totals were, 9 fairways, 5 greens, and 33 putts.
I'm going back to Upper Canada as soon as I can!
