Round 23 - August 23rd - Loch March, Ottawa - cloudy, rain ending, 24 degrees
I finally had a chance to go out with an old friend Al Miller, a great musician, and a great golfer. The Loch March is always a challenge playing 6000 yards off the whites with a slope of 120 and a rating of 70. We were pretty even on the front. I went out with a 48 and Miller with a 45. The back proved to be a bit tougher, in my own mind anyway. I took 3 triples, to come in with a 54. A total of 102. Miller came in with a 45 for a total of 90. Miller is a 10 handicap so he gave me 8 strokes. So he still beat me. I hit 5 fairways to Miller's 7 and we both hit only 2 greens. I had 31 putts to Miller's 29, and took 3 penalty strokes and Miller took 2. It ended up being a beautiful day, a little humid but beautiful.
