Round 13 - July 12, Le Vieux Moulin
Back again for more punishment…or redemption. If you didn't read round 12 I was here yesterday. Today I came out with Lino "the Luckcharm" Disipio and Christine and Alain my general manager and production manager, both beginners. I was really hoping to break 90 but I would be denied again! Lino and I were playing for $20 on the gross and $20 on the match. The front nine was less than stellar with me taking a 48 with only one par and two triples. Lino didn't fair much better, with a 51. I was up by one hole on the match. The back proved a little better with me coming in with a 46 for a total of 94 and Lino coming in with a 45 for a total of 96. Lino took the match winning it on the last hole. I had 36 putts, hit 7 fairways, and 3 greens. Christine took a 110 and Alain a 104 (playing a modified best ball format!)

My moment of Zen was on the 416-yard par five ninth. It was playing so short because the white tee box was under repair so we had to play off the reds. I hit a beauty 270 yards up to the 150 marker. I put the next shot on the green leaving me with a 10 footer for the eagle. Alas, I lipped out and then tapped in for the birdie. My first of the year! Onwards and upwards.
