Round Two - Thursday May 11, The Champlain Went out on another gorgeous day with the Piccolo Grande web site animator and hockey analyst Andy Sommerfeld. The Champlain, located on the Upper Aylmer Road just west of the Champlain bridge in Aylmer, Quebec, is in good shape especially compared to last year but still has a ways to go to bring it up to snuff. It was a quick round with no major disasters except one 8 on a par 5. I shot a 95 and Andy took a 106 (not counting an off and on bout of Duffitis). Andy only golfs two or three times a year and only carries two clubs, a 3 iron and a putter. No sorry, three clubs, he has two 3 irons! Pretty good hun!
